Peyton T. Period 1 I am reading the book "Divergent" by Veronica Roth. I am on page seventy. The main characters at this point are Beatrice who is now Tris because she is in the dauntless faction.Also there are Four and Eric who are the leaders of the dauntless. Lastly there is Christina from the candor faction. The setting is in the future in the city of Chicago. The problem at this point is that Tris took the test and the women who was giving it to her told her it did not work on her and she was what was "divergent" and no one else should know but her. So Tris had to keep this away from her family.
I didn't choose a sci-fi book because I always read sci-fi and I wanted to read something else for a change. I am reading the book "The Hobbit" I am on page 15. The characters are Gandalf, the Baggins, and the dwarves. The setting is in the past and is in the Shire. The problem is that Thorin (one of the dwarves) wants to get his city back that has all the gold but there is a dragon that has claimed the gold but, has not been seen recently.
I'm currently reading "Artemis Fowl: The Last Guardian", by Eoin Colfer. I'm currently only on page 11, and Artemis Fowl is the main character, along with his butler and a gnome psychiatrist named Argon. Currently placed in modern time, unless they go back in time, in the underground fairy world and the above ground human world. So far the problem is unclear but I feel as though it's about the estate and why it has a magical energy around it that draws other magical beings there. As well as the secret as to why nobody else in the Fowl family until now has been able to get to the "pot of gold" referred to in the book, besides Artemis.
I am reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. I am currently on page 12. The characters in this book is Bella, Charlie (Bella's dad), and Bella's mom. The setting is in a town called Forks. It is near Seattle. I don't know the problem yet.

The characters that have been introduced so far in the book are Percy Jackson who is a 12 year old boy and Mr. Brunner who is his Pre- Algebra teacher. The setting takes place so far at the boarding school Yancy Academy which is located in New York. I do not know the problem at this point in the book.

I think the problem in the book is that Katniss and Peeta are on a victors tour and they have to survive the tour.
Joesph Period 1 The book I chose was Goliath I am on page 21. The characters are Prince Alek , Dylan, Deryn, and Dr. Barlow. On a machine called the leviathan in the future October. I think the problem is that there is a war going on and Alek is trying to get back to the rebels side.
Bella Gianni Period 1 I choose the book Catching Fire. I am on page 30. So far the characters are Katniss, Gale, Peeta, President Snow, Haymitch, Effie, Cinna, Prim, and Mrs. Everdeen. The setting is in the future in Panem. Katniss, Gale, Peeta, Haymitch, Prim, and Mrs. Everdeen all live in district 12 while Effie, Cinna, and President Snow are from the Capitol. The problem in this story is that President Snow doesn't believe that Katniss loves Peeta as much as Peeta loves Katniss. President Snow thinks that she just went along with it so she could get out of the games alive. President Snow wants Katniss to make him believe that she truly loves him and if she doesn't convince him, she will be killed.
Ricky Period 1 I did not get a Sci-Fi book because I am not interested in this genre and I wasn't interested in any of the books. I am reading Middle School Get Me Out of Here. I am on page 130. The characters are Ralph, his friend Matty, and his dad Luca. The setting is in the present and it takes place in a big city. The problem is Ralph is trying to find his dad with the help of his friend.
Samir S. P.1 The science fiction book I choose is titled 'The Immortal Von B.' The page I am currently on is pg.15. The characters of this book are Josie (Main Character), who is frequently nervous sometimes and thinks of the past, instead of her future. Tria, who is a great friend of Josie and Michelle, while Tria tries to always cheer Josie up. Michelle, is partially the main band leader in the girls own band, but Michelle is just as sympathetic as Tria is to Josie. The setting of this book is in modern times such as today, and takes place in Josie's dad's house. The problem at this point right now is that Josie speaks so sorrowfully of her mothers past times of her good and bad. The two girls , Tria and Josie just realize that Josie's mother was a famous pianist who guided most of the worlds most famous singers and musicians.
Jacobo S. Period 1 I did not pick a Sci Fi book because i did not see a book that caught my eye. am reading Percy Jackson & The Olympians The Demigod Files. I am on page 37. This book has multiple stories so I can only explain the one I am on. There is Annabeth, Beckendorf, and Percy. The setting is in the forest. The problem is that Percy and Beckendorf want to beat Annabeth in capture the flag.
I am reading Maze Runner by James Dashner. I am now on page 15. The main characters so far are, Alby, Newt, Chuck, most important of all Thomas. The setting of this book takes place in this place called the Glades. I think the problem in this story is that Thomas must find his way back home to where he came from through his memories.
Bailey M. Period 1 I did not choose a sci Fi book, because not many of them looked interesting and the ones that did, I've already read. So instead of answering questions about the sci fi book, I will answer questions about the other book I am reading. I am reading City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare. I am on page 224. The characters include Magnus Bane, Isabelle and Alec Lightwood, Jace Wayland/Lightwood/Morgenstern/Herondale, Clary Fray, Jocelyn Fray, and Sebastian/Jonathon Morgenstern. The setting is mostly in New York in the 2007-2009 range. The problem is that Jace and Sebastian are now connected by a demonic ritual/spell where if one person gets hurt, so does the other, and lots of other bad things that will take forever to explain. Clary and the others must try to find a way to break the connection between the two or Sebastian will try to destroy the world with Jace by his side.
The book I am reading is I Am Number Four. I'm on page 15. The characters are Henri and Number 4. The setting is in near the gulf of Mexico. The problem is that their is alien men trying to kill all of the the 9 aliens that came from a planet. That the p aliens can only save with their ambulates, But the alien men with dark black eyes will not let them and they will no stop until they kill all nine and three are dead.
The book I chose was Daniel X by James Patterson. I am on page 59. The only main character is Daniel X. The setting takes place all over the world. The only problem so far is the Daniel needs to hunt down the number 6 alien on the most wanted list. This alien is the only one he has gone after in the top ten.
I'm reading Kidnapped by Gordon Korman. I did not get a science fiction book because I don't like them. I like reading fiction and non fiction. I'm currently on chapter four. The characters in this book is Aiden and his sister Meg. The setting is in a little town, and the problem is that there parents are in prison and that the police is looking for both of them.

Elephant Run is the book that I am reading now. I am on page 238. The main characters are Mya,Bukong,Hilltop, and Nick. The setting is in Burma when the Japanese take over Burma due to WW2. The problem at this point in the story is they are escaping from their village.(Hawk's Nest) And they are dressed up as monks. The Japenese have given up their search...right? (Waiting for Hunger Games Mrs. Diamond)
Kate P. Period 2 I chose the book House of Dark Shadows by Robert Liparulo and I am on page 15, chapter 2. So far, the characters are Xander (main), Toria (sister, minor) David (brother, minor) and Xander’s parents(minor). So far, the setting is modern day and in the summer, on the road to their new home. Finally, the problem so far is that Xander and his family are moving and he doesn’t want to leave all of his friends and his old house behind.
The book that I'm reading is "Trash" by Andy Mulligan. This is not a science fiction book, because I started to read this the day before we picked out our books. I think this is a realistic fiction book. This is because the characters are made up, but they are having real-life experiences. Right now, I am on page 51. The main characters so far are Raphael Fernandez, his friend Gardo, and their weird friend named Rat. I definitely think more characters will be added, but I don't think they will be major. The setting is in the city they live in, Behala, and most of the times the dump site there. The problem in the story is that Raphael finds a bag that has very high value, and the cops are on the hunt for it. They are very suspicious about Raphael, so they are always following him. Raphael and his friends don't want to get caught with the bag that they have, otherwise there will be huge problems.
The science fictions book that I am reading is Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer. I am on page 35 of the book. The characters in the book so far are Miranda, the main character, her mom, her dad, her brother Matt, her brother Johnny, her best friends Megan and Sammie, and Lisa her step mom. The problem in the book is that a large asteroid was supposed to hit the moon and when it does it gets pushed closer to Earth. Since the tidal waves are controlled by the moon and there was a huge shift in the moon all the tidal waves go crazy. Hawaii, Cap Cod, the Statue of Liberty, Miami, and many more places get completely submerged in water. What will life be like for Miranda and her family?
I am reading the book Crater by Homer Hickam. This book takes place in the future when the moon has mining colonies. The main character is sixteen year old crater trueblood, he loves his job as a miner but one day when he saves a fellow miner his life changes when the owner of the mining company gives crater a dangerous mission. Crater has no choice but to go. I am liking the book so far and i hope it continues.
Alonso The science fiction book I am reading is called Divergent by Veronica Roth, I am on page 13, The characters are Caleb, and the main character mom and dad but I still don't know the girls name which is the main character. I think the setting is in the future, United States, Chicago because I read something about the tower they used to call the Sears tower so I inferred that the book took place in Chicago. I think the problem is that the teenage girl has to chose to leave her family or stay.
The science fiction book I am reading is SYLO by D.J. Machale. The setting is a island off of Connecticut. The main character is Marty.I am on page 21. The conflict in the story is that people on this island keep dieing and people want to leave but if the leave they could spread whatever this sickness or diezese is.
Matthew B. Period 4 The book that I am reading is "Bad Luck and Trouble" by Lee Child. This is not a Science Fiction book, because I requested this book before break, and I just got it yesterday. I am on page 20 of my book. The characters in this book so far are Jack Reacher, the main character, Calvin Franz and the pilot of a helicopter. Right now, the setting is in a helicopter above a desert, in the middle of the night. Franz has two broken legs, and when he stands up, he falls out of the open door of the helicopter. In this point of the book, I cannot tell what the problem is in the story.
The book that I chose was "Cinder" by Marissa Meyer. I am currently on page 46 in the book and have discovered much about the characters. The main characters are Prince Kai, Cinder, Iko the android, and Peony. The story takes place in New Beijing. I have learned that the problem is the Lunar Queen has come to earth, offering a cure to the plague that is rapidly claiming the lives of many citizens. She will give them the cure, but with a great price.
The book I chose was Z. Rex by Steve Cole. Currently I am on page 43 and the main character so far is a thirteen-year-old boy named Adam Adlar. The setting is a modern day where this huge T-Rex appears out of nowhere, (what I am thinking is that maybe it’s just from a video game that Adam was playing for 5 hours straight one day while eating pizza) and wrecks the town he lives in like a tornado just ripped through it. But this isn’t a normal T-Rex, it’s a T-Rex specifically going after Adam somehow, and Adam needs to find a way so that he can save his life from this dinosaur, so there’s a problem, a risky and dangerous problem that Adam has to go through. I am still reading, and currently it’s starting to get to the main point of the story, so I don’t any more new information, but I will keep reading and find out. :)
The Science Fiction book I chose is called Raider's Ransom by Emily Diamand. I am on page 27. The main character in this book is Lily. She has a pet cat that she takes everywhere with her. Some of the other minor characters are her grandma(who died on page 11), Andy, and the Captain. The book hasn't told yet what relation Lily has with Andy yet. The problem in this book is that the Raiders have come without warning. The Raiders are people who come and kill anyone in the city for money. They make money off of the ransom that they get. This time they have the prime minister's daughter held captive. Will they be able to save her without paying the ransom?
I am reading the mysterious sci-fi book, The Maze Runner by James Dashner. I am on page 25. The main character is Thomas who doesn't have any memories of his childhood, even though he is 16. He just wakes up in the lift, and he is welcomed by people who live in the Glade. The setting is in the Glade. The problem is probably that Thomas doesn't remember anything, but I cannot be sure, because I am not too far in to the book.
Aliyan V 4th Period The book I chose to read which was science fiction was Haddix Found. I have not yet started the book. I think this book will be about people who receive something bad and want to find out who sent the bad note. I think the book is in the future.
I am reading a book called Diary of A Wimpy kid. I did not choose a science fiction book because I could not find one that I was interested in. I am on page 20. The characters in this book so far are Greg, Rodrick, Rowley, and Greg's parents. So far the book takes place in Greg's home and in his middle school. I do not know the problem so far.
I am reading Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. I am currently on page 132. The main character in my book is Ender. He has an older brother, Peter, and an older sister, Valentine. When Ender goes to Battle school, he meets many new friends, and enemies. For example, one of his friends is Alai, and one of his enemies is Bernard. The setting is in outer space-- and it takes place in a battle school where Ender learns many new things about the world and himself. I think the problem in this book is based on physical traits, but also a little bit of emotional. Physically, Ender continuously is bullied, but somehow has to find a way to become a great leader and commander. The fate of mankind rests on his shoulders.
The book I'm reading is The Fox Inheritance by Mary E Pearson. I am on page 19, but so far the book is a little confusing. In my book the characters are Jenna, Locke, Kara and Dr. Gatsbro. The setting of my book is in the future, but it doesn't tell the exact location. I know it is the future because people where keeping the minds of the dead, which we don't do know. With what I have read so far the problem is that Jenna a girl whose mind was taken out, was put into another body and she doesn't know where she and who everyone is. The people that she is supposed to know, she doesn't recognize at all. I like the book a little bit, but I hope once I read a little bit more everything will be more clear.

The characters in my book are 17 year old Hunter and Jen and Hunter's boss Mandy.I think the setting in this book is in the past because one of the characters said that this was a few years after the telephone was invented. The problem in the story is to find out where did Mandy go.

(I won't tell you his name to not spoil it) But this passenger has plans of a machine called the Goliath that he claims will end the war. Can the heroes trust him and bring peace to the world? In my own words the setting take place in modern times. The problem i found was he find out he has powers and he uses to help out others.

The characters are Raf the clerk at a pet shop and megan an ordinary girl who moved from her old school to this new school. I think the problem is that megan is a girl who is really hating her school and she is new and she is the only normal girl there because everyone in that school has a band-aid on the side of there head and she doesn't. Also that her lunch lady is a crazy person who tried putting something in her head and also who experiments on a dog and also now she is getting chased down by her lunch lady.
I am reading the people of sparks witch is the second book in the series of the city of ember by Jeanne DuPrau. I am on page 13. The main characters are characters are Lina, Doon, and Torren. The problem is that the people of ember have found people to help but there is not enough room in the town they have found for them. Also they need to learn how to grow food and live out side of there drying city.

Mansi J. 4th Hour I am currently reading 10 Things I Hate about me. It is not science fiction. I found an interesting book that was in a another library so I asked for it. 10 Things I Hate About Me is realistic fiction. I am on page 104. The characters are Jamie (Jamilah), Amy, Liz, Peter and Jamie's dad. The problem is that ever since Jamie's mom died her dad is very strict about her curfews and what is going on in her life. He won't let her go to parties or the mall or anything that includes being social. So right now Jamie is trying to ask her dad if she can get a job so she can earn money. The setting is present time at school or at home.
I am currently reading the book The Hunt for the Seventh by Christine Morton-Shaw. The genre is under horror and mystery. I didn’t read my science fiction book because I was in the middle of this book and I didn’t want to start another book while I was reading The Hunt for the Seventh. I am on page 113 in my book. The main characters are James(Jim) and his little sister Sally(Sal). They are two siblings who are bonded close together by a tragic event in losing their mother. Jim is bearing the weight of a promise he made to his mother about taking care of Sally. So when ghosts come knocking on his door, asking him to “Find the Seventh”, he is torn between the sentimental promise and his stubborn, defying little sister. This book takes place in present time. Jim and Sal live in a mansion called Minerva Hall. Their dad has got himself a job as a gardener, and the kids are taking up a life in the comfortable palace they can call home; for now.
I am currently reading Dairy Queen on my kindle, which is not science fiction. However, the science fiction book that I chose was Invisible City. So far, I am 16% done with the book and I am really enjoying it! The characters are DJ and Brain. I would say the setting is at DJ’s farm back then. The problem is that DJ’s gets sick and DJ is left to work at the farm. Day and night, she works and she starts to feel envious of her three brothers. Curtis, who is younger, plays basketball at least 7 times a week. Win and Bill, her older brothers, are away at college. Overall, this a great novel!!!

April P. 6th Hour The science fiction book I chose to read was Zenith, by Julie Bertanga. Currently I am on page 33.The main characters so far are Tuck, Mara, Fox, and Rowan. The setting is actually in many different places because Mara and Rowan are on a boat, Tuck is on an island/area of land, and Fox is in the new city. Since I just started the book I don't really know a specific problem so far.
I am reading the book Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. I am on page 111 right now and I am really liking the book. The characters are Deryn who is dressed up as a man so she could join the British royal air navy and the other character is Alek a Hungarian prince who is on the run from the people that killed his parents. The setting is at two different places because there are two main characters one is Austria-Hungary and the other is Britain. I think the problem at this point is that Deryn has some secrets to hid and still needs to hide the fact that she is a girl because the Air navy wouldn't let girls join it. Also Alek is still on the run from the assassins that killed his parents
I am reading the book "Unwind" by Neal Shusterman and it is about a boy named Connor, and his parents have made the decision to unwind him. They call it that to make it not sound so bad but it is basically killing your child and using their body parts for other purposes. Connor doesn't want to be unwound, so he decides to run away with his best friend Ariana. But after thinking about it, she decided not to go so Connor is all alone. He meets up with a trucker to stay away from the police, and the trucker agrees to keep him safe. I am only on page 20, but this seems like a very good book. I also told my mom about it and she read all 4 books in the series and LOVED it. I am very exited to read this book!
Nathan Z. 6th period I read "Here Lies Arthur" by: Philip Reeve. At this time I am on page 17, and there are only two characters; the main character is Gwyana and another character is Myrddin. This story takes place in a forested area with a river, in the dead of winter. I am not sure if this is the problem, but her village was bunt and pillaged by riders that mean war upon them.
I am currently reading Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. So far I have gotten to page 23, and it is already very interesting. The characters that have apperead so far are Alek which is a prince, Otto Klopp, the tinkerer, Volger, the wildcount, Deryn, the hopeful 15 year old girl that wants to fly in the army, and Jaspert, her brother. The setting is in the future were the British and the Austrians have started to fight. I do not know the problem but I dont know the conflict between the two main characters.
Patrick H. Period 6 The book I am reading is called The Chamber In The Sky by M.T. Anderson. This book is science fiction and so far it is pretty good but, a little confusing. I am on page 23 and the setting is in the future in a made up world. So far I think the problem is that there are monsters trying to kill them.
I am reading the book Pals in Peril by M.T. Anderson. I haven't read that much of the book yet I'm on page 7. The characters from the book haven't been explained very much but the characters are Lily Gefelty, Katie Mulligan, and Jasper Dash. They are trapped in a fantasy area where everything watches you or stalks you. It is called the Worn-Torn Realm of Fantasy. The conflict in this book is leading from the first book. The three heroes are trapped in the fantasy land and want to get out and get back to home.
Ethan B. Period 6 The sci fi book that I chose was Pals in Peril Jasper Dash and the Flame-Pits of Delaware. So far I am only on page 24. So far I have only been introduced to 3 characters. They are Lily Gefelty, Jasper Dash, and Katie Mulligan. The setting is in a town that goes by the name of Pelt. Pelt is a small town that no one really knows of. The only big thing that Pelt has is a museum and a world class staring contest team. Yes a staring contest team and worst of all Jasper is the teams star player. So far I have not found out the problem in the story but I think that it might have to do with the fact that Jasper is about to go in a match against the schools rivals in a staring contest.
Hannah R. Period 6 I am reading the science fiction book, The Adoration of Jenna Fox, and I am on page 15. So far, the characters in this book are Jenna Fox, her Mom, her Dad, and Lily. This book is set in the future; so far, the setting is just in her house. The problem of this story is since Jenna had an accident, she was in a comma for a long time. The comma has caused her to lose some of her memory. So, the problem is that she is having a hard time remembering who she is, and who everyone else is; she has to relearn everything.
Kaitlyn H. Period 6 The sci-fi book I chose is “Close to Perfect” by Joan Bauer. I have read 36 pages and so far it is really good, better than I expected. The characters I have identified so far are Foster and Mama, the main characters, and Kitty and Lester. This book started out taking place in Memphis but right now they are in Culpepper, West Virginia. I have not identified the problem in my story yet but I think that the problem is that they can’t find a place to live and that Elvis keeps following them. I cant wait to read more!

I am currently reading a book called Evil Genius by Catherine Jinks. The characters are Cadel, his mom and dad, Thaddeus Roth and Wilfreda his assistant. The setting is mostly in Thaddeus's office and the lobby (downstairs). I'm on page 28 and so far the book is good. Cadel is 7 and has genius IQ and I think the problem of this story is that Cadel's parents think that his IQ is a problem and they are trying to figure out what's wrong with but there might not be anything wrong.
Saira A. Period 6 I chose the book Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I am on page 80. The characters are, Tris, Tobias, Peter, Uriah, Caleb, Christina and Cara. The setting is in America, outside the fence. It is near Chicago, sometime in the future. I think the problem is that Tobias’s mom, Evelyn has taken over the factions and made everybody factionless after the Erudite killed almost all of the Abnegation. Tris,Tobias, and the others go outside the fence into the real world and discover what the world was really like before the factions, and why the factions came to be. Tobias and the gang want to find out the truth and make the world right.
The book I am reading is T MINUS the race to the moon. The page I am on is page 18. The character in my book are C.C. a rocket scientist. The setting is in NASA Langley Virginia-1957. The problem in the book is that NASA is trying to beat Russia to moon and to see who gets to the moon first.
I am currently trying to read Peak by Roland Smith which is not science fiction. However, I have tried reading it in the past but, I just let it go. Now I am on a mission to read through the whole book and not ignore it or dis it. I do enjoy this book so far. I am on page 9. The Characters are peak and his reading teacher Vincent. The sci-fi book I am reading right now is "The 5th Wave" by Rick Yancey. Right now, I am on page 193, and so far, the book has been incredibly riveting. The characters I have encountered so far are: Cassie Sullivan, Sammy Sullivan (younger brother), Evan Walker, and Ben Parish. Their viewpoints take up chapters, but Rick doesn't come out and directly tells us who. He brilliantly interprets their thoughts, images, and names into the text. So far, he's on my "Top Fifteen Author's List". The setting is America in the future. I think it may be taking place in recent times. The plot is just an alternative from besides what we are living in now. Except the alternative isn't good. Earth has been invaded from the Others, aliens from outer space. The Others have caused the incredible population of 6.7 billion, to a measly 2,000 or less. Cassie doesn't know if there are less, or more out there. All she knows that is that they have caused things called Waves. Each wave brings death and terror to the Earth: execution from electricity, a tidal wave that had taken out more than half of the Earth's population, and a plague called the Red Death, 4th Horseman, etc. Cassie has survived them all, but only with sacrifricing her brother, and father. Her mother left with the 4th Horseman. But she saw her father gunned down and her little brother taken away by the alien soldiers. Or so she thought. Now, Cassie and Evan are determined to find Sammy and survive the invasion of the Others... But as Cassie says, how can she trust someone who has survived all 4 Waves? And how can her supposed-to-be-dead crush threaten her own life?
I am reading All the Lovely Bad Ones. I am currently on page 24. Corey, Travis and their Grandmother are the main characters. It takes place in Burlington and in Middlebury. The conflict is that The Fox Inn isn't bringing many customers in any more because the people that came are the ones that want to see ghosts but they never do, until Corey and Travis help make them come.
The book I chose is exodus. I'm on page 12. I know that isn't enough but the book is starting off to a slow start at the beginning. I don't know the setting quite yet. I don't know the the problem or conflict yet
MarenP. 6th hour Life as We Knew It In Life As We Knew It, the main character (A girl, hasn't introduced her name yet) Is 16 years old. The story takes place in school and at home so far. It starts with her dad announcing that his new wife, Liza, is pregnant. Liza really annoys the girl, she can turn you down and anger you in a second, and then do something nice to not upset you. The main character goes through friend problems, one friend dying and the two others turning on each other, making the old times disappear. With all the discombobulation of her parents, Liza, thee baby, being a godmother, friends fighting... She's stuck between, not knowing what to do or what will happen. I am on page 21. I don't really know what the problem is yet.
I am reading "Starters" by Lisa Price. I am currently on page 105. This book is very interesting and so are its characters, Callie, Tyler (her brother), Micheal (her friend), people at the body shop, and Blake ( accidental date). Callie has a major problem, she has rented her body to some else and woke up in her life. How will she get out? This book is set in the future were people can live to 200. They have huge cities and abandoned homes in many places. I love this book.
Cara L. Period 6 Yesterday I chose the book First Light by: Rebecca Stead. I got to page 12 in class and read a little, until page 21 at home. So far the main characters are Peter and his mom and dad. Although in the prologue a kid named Mattias was mentioned. The setting is pretty normal, they live in a town, in a house and peter goes to school. But it is taken place in the future. But most everything, so far, seems the same. At this point in my reading of this book I do not know the problem of the story.
Maria Pritchett 6th hr I choose the book the city of ember and I am on page 30. The characters are Lina and Doon who have been friends forever but stopped talking a few years ago. The setting is in the future where they live underground and lie on a generator that produces light but flickers and goes dark every now and then. The problem so far is that the city with not have light forever and soon the generator will go out. Lina and Doon think that they can find a way to fix it or get everyone out.
I chose the book GO BIG OR GO HOME by Will Hobbs. I am on page 75. The characters in my book are Brady,. Quinn, and Brady's Dad, and Quinn's Dad. Brady and Quinn are cousins. This story takes place in the present, and is at Brady's house and on the roads of their area. The problem is a piece of a meteorite hit through Brady's roof and right through his bed. He needs to find out what it's worth.
I chose the book The Last Book In The Universe. I am on page 26 so far. The characters I know so far is the main character, Spaz. Ryter, an old man. Then there’s some kind of girl that is called a ‘“proov”, people who are perfect. Billy Bizmo, gang leader of a group. The setting is in the time 1,000 years in the future, where not a lot of people read books. People who reads books in that time would be rarely. How I imagine is is like where Spaz is is some kind of dark place. With dark buildings, but when you go to the city, there are lights, technology, and a lot of people in styles. But in some places it would be dark and gloomy. I think the problem at this point is that Spaz would need a mission is to steal some things to have life better. But, I’m not sure yet. It’s still beginning with the character talking.
Elissa Schimmel 8th hour My Sci-fi book that I am reading is called "The Shadowing Hunter" by Adam Slater. I am on page 19. The main character is Callum. The setting is in the forest and along a road. I think it takes place in the present. I do not know what the problem is so far because I think it is just building up things to make the problem. But one event is callum seeing the ghost.
Justyn M. Period 8 12/3/13 I am reading the book Skyship Academy:The Pearl Wars by Nick James. I am currently on page 23 and the characters introduced so far in the book is Cassius Stevenson and Jesse Fisher who are friends who are currently in a problem that they are trying t o escape. The setting is in the future but I can only say they live not in Earth, but in a different planet. The problem might be that they are getting sick and old of where they live and by the environment they are in. Overall, I think the story is going well and that I am going to like it.
I chose The Time Paradox by Eoin Colfer. The characters are Artemis,Beckett, and Mother. I am on page 17. The setting is at Artemis's house. Artemis mother is sick and needs healing badly. Artemis is only a teenager but he has gadgets that can help him with problems.
The Sci Fi book I chose is Divergrent. by Allie Condie. I am currently on page 28 chapter five. (minor) Caleb,Marcus ,Mom, and Dad (Major) Beatrice Prior. The setting is in the future. The problem is that Beatrice is divergent and she has to go to the choosing ceremony and has to pick one she wants to be. She never felt like she fit in to the abnegation factors. What will she choose?
I chose the book Infinity Ring: Divide and Conquer. I am on page 9. The characters are Sera and Dak and the settings is in the far future. I am pretty sure the problem is that history is "broken" and Dak and Sera have a time machine to fix it. In the meantime, Dak and Sera face the delaying forces of the SQ.
I have finished the book Glitch by Heather Anastasiu. I have currently finished the book and the main character is Zoel also known as Zoe. This takes place underground underneath the Surface after D-Day in the future. The problem was that everyone had a V-chip implanted in their brain and is controlled by the Link. Everyone except the governors and the people that live on the Surface. Zoe must save everyone she loves without losing anyone... just like her brother.
The book I chose was The Last Book In The Universe by Rodman Philbrick. I am on page 17.So far, the characters are Spaz, Ryter, and Billy Bizmo. The problem I've identified so far is that because everybody is using probing instead of reading, there are no more books. If that's not bad enough, Spaz can't probe because he might get a brain seizure and is forced to join a gang and live a life where stealing is a necessity.
Morgan Period 8 The Sci Fi short stories book that I have chosen is Strangers and Beggars I am on page twenty five. There is only one main character in this story and her name is Miss.Hathaway. The setting of the story is in a public high school. The problem of this story is that in Miss.Hathaway’s classroom there is a gigantic spider that keeps getting bigger and bigger! But not only is the spider getting bigger but its web is too! The spider has the web taking up a large amount of the classroom and no one is dealing with this issue.

The problem at this point is that the people of Ember need shelter because their abandoned city was lost. They are being distributed among the people of Sparks where they will care for them.
Robert T. 8th hour The book I read was titled "The Wish List" by Eoin Colfer I don't know how to say his name but, he created a good story so far. I am about 20 pages in and I had to put it down so I don't finish it! I like this book so much that I try to read little bits at a time so I can keep reading. Its that good. The Characters that are evil are: Beltch, Raptor(the dog), Beelzebub, THE DEVIL, and Meg. (who shouldn't be in there) That is all I really know right now All of the characters I know are in the underworld being imprisoned. THIS BOOK IS AWESOME! I recommend this book to any one who love action and adventure.
I am reading the book Claim for fame By: Margaret peterson. I am on page 19. The character is the narrator and so far there is no more characters that I know of. And the setting is placed in the future at the narrators house. The problem is that the main character has the fear of being kidnapped and she won't do anything for example she isn't doing her homework and she is getting frustrated because nobody knows what she is going threw. And she believes that nobody will ever now.

I picked the book "The Boy Who Reversed Himself" by William Sleator. I am on page 29 so far. The characters that are in my book so far are Omar, Pete, and Laura. I have not found out the setting yet, it does not say. The problem at this point is that Laura is curious of what Omar is creating.
I chose the book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. I am on page 5 and the main character is Arthur Dent and the other character is Ford Perfect,his friend. Arthur Dent was an earthing that was in a bathrobe and was taken from Earth by Ford Perfect before Earth was destroyed by a hyper-space bypass. The setting is in the future and the new popular thing on planet earth is the digital watch and the planet Earth Arthur lived on was all sad and the people there were angry, stressed,tired, and most of all sad. Well, too bad for them and I mean why live if your not happy at all, you are sad everyday of your life. I feel that the problem and the confusion is why was Earth destroyed and why were those people sad? (If it matters anymore.)
I am not reading a science fiction book because, I can not check one out. I can't do this because I have a over due book. Instead of reading a science fiction book I am reading a book called Smile by Raina Telgmeirer. The main character is Raina and in this book Raina is a young teenager. This book takes place around Rainas town about current time. I am on page 29 and I have already found the problem! Raina has damaged her two front teeth, making her look like a vampire. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a little laugh and drama.
Period 8 Max Pluta I didn't pick a scifi book because I wasn't interested in any of them and I wanted to read Red Kayak because I have started that book but never finished it. I am currently on page 40. So far the main characters are Brady, JT, Digger and Brady dad. The problem in the book is not yet specified. I recommend this book to people who enjoy to everyone but mostly kids because I can relate to it very well. Overall, I really enjoy this book so far and I want to keep reading it.
The science fiction book I chose was a book called Leviathan. It is based in WWI but the war is between the Clankers and the the Darwinists. This book is different because it is not a traditional WWI book, it is futuristic and has monsters. The Clankers fight with big machines that walk around and have big cannons and machine guns. The Darwinists have these big raging monsters. The main character is named Alek and he is part of a Clanker royal family. But Alek is technically not royal because his parents are separated. I am on page 25 and Alek is learning how to ride a Walker (a big machine that walks) in the middle of the night. I like the book so far and I look foward to reading farther into it.
Brian T. Period 1 The book I am reading is The Enchantress by Michael Scott. It is science fiction because of time traveling, and other worlds. It is part of one of my favorite series “The Immortal Nicholas Flamel”. I am on chapter 34. There are many characters in the book, it is always switching from characters. There are immortal humans, and gods.The setting also changes along with the characters, but some are in different worlds, different times, and most are making their way to San Francisco in modern times.A battle already has started, and two of the main characters in the series have one day left to die; but until then they will fight with allies to save the city. The problem is that some evil immortals and gods have caused chaos in San Francisco, and are attempting to unleash a ton of monsters contained in Alcatraz on the city.
I chose the book Divergent by Veronica Roth as my Science Fiction book. The page that I am currently on is 16. The main character(s) so far in this book are Beatrice Prior who is also the narrator. The other character(s) (doesn’t seem to important right now) in this book are Beatrice’s brother Caleb who goes to the same school and is in the same year, Beatrice’s parents, and Tori who is the person testing Beatrice (Aptitude Test). This book is set in the future in the City of Chicago. The problem right now seems that Beatrice is really worried to take the Aptitude Test, but I haven't read a lot so this seems like the problem for the pages that I’ve read so far.

A Stormwalker is a giant machine that you get into like tank, but it has legs, machine guns, and a big cannon. This makes my book sci-fi because a Stormwalker isn’t a real machine, and it is very futuristic.

The live on a remote island because they're parents are scientists on a top secret research facility on the island. So far the problem is that Tory's mother just died and she has to live with her father she has never met, and the have a lot of warming up to do.

I am reading the book "Divergent" by Veronica Roth. I am on page seventy. The main characters at this point are Beatrice who is now Tris because she is in the dauntless faction.Also there are Four and Eric who are the leaders of the dauntless. Lastly there is Christina from the candor faction. The setting is in the future in the city of Chicago. The problem at this point is that Tris took the test and the women who was giving it to her told her it did not work on her and she was what was "divergent" and no one else should know but her. So Tris had to keep this away from her family.
I didn't choose a sci-fi book because I always read sci-fi and I wanted to read something else for a change. I am reading the book "The Hobbit" I am on page 15. The characters are Gandalf, the Baggins, and the dwarves. The setting is in the past and is in the Shire. The problem is that Thorin (one of the dwarves) wants to get his city back that has all the gold but there is a dragon that has claimed the gold but, has not been seen recently.

I'm currently reading "Artemis Fowl: The Last Guardian", by Eoin Colfer. I'm currently only on page 11, and Artemis Fowl is the main character, along with his butler and a gnome psychiatrist named Argon. Currently placed in modern time, unless they go back in time, in the underground fairy world and the above ground human world. So far the problem is unclear but I feel as though it's about the estate and why it has a magical energy around it that draws other magical beings there. As well as the secret as to why nobody else in the Fowl family until now has been able to get to the "pot of gold" referred to in the book, besides Artemis.

The book I am reading is The Lightning Thief by: Rick Riordan. This is not a Sci Fi book it is more Fantasy. I am currently on page 9. The characters that have been introduced so far in the book are Percy Jackson who is a 12 year old boy and Mr. Brunner who is his Pre- Algebra teacher. I choose the book Catching Fire. I am on page 30. So far the characters are Katniss, Gale, Peeta, President Snow, Haymitch, Effie, Cinna, Prim, and Mrs. Everdeen. The setting is in the future in Panem. Katniss, Gale, Peeta, Haymitch, Prim, and Mrs. Everdeen all live in district 12 while Effie, Cinna, and President Snow are from the Capitol. The problem in this story is that President Snow doesn't believe that Katniss loves Peeta as much as Peeta loves Katniss. President Snow thinks that she just went along with it so she could get out of the games alive. President Snow wants Katniss to make him believe that she truly loves him and if she doesn't convince him, she will be killed.

I did not get a Sci-Fi book because I am not interested in this genre and I wasn't interested in any of the books. I am reading Middle School Get Me Out of Here. I am on page 130. The characters are Ralph, his friend Matty, and his dad Luca. The setting is in the present and it takes place in a big city. The problem is Ralph is trying to find his dad with the help of his friend.

The science fiction book I choose is titled 'The Immortal Von B.' The page I am currently on is pg.15. The characters of this book are Josie (Main Character), who is frequently nervous sometimes and thinks of the past, instead of her future. Tria, who is a great friend of Josie and Michelle, while Tria tries to always cheer Josie up. Michelle, is partially the main band leader in the girls own band, but Michelle is just as sympathetic as Tria is to Josie. The setting of this book is in modern times such as today, and takes place in Josie's dad's house. The problem at this point right now is that Josie speaks so sorrowfully of her mothers past times of her good and bad. The two girls , Tria and Josie just realize that Josie's mother was a famous pianist who guided most of the worlds most famous singers and musicians.

I did not choose a sci Fi book, because not many of them looked interesting and the ones that did, I've already read. So instead of answering questions about the sci fi book, I will answer questions about the other book I am reading. I am reading City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare. I am on page 224. The characters include Magnus Bane, Isabelle and Alec Lightwood, Jace Wayland/Lightwood/Morgenstern/Herondale, Clary Fray, Jocelyn Fray, and Sebastian/Jonathon Morgenstern. The setting is mostly in New York in the 2007-2009 range. The problem is that Jace and Sebastian are now connected by a demonic ritual/spell where if one person gets hurt, so does the other, and lots of other bad things that will take forever to explain. Clary and the others must try to find a way to break the connection between the two or Sebastian will try to destroy the world with Jace by his side.

The problem is that their is alien men trying to kill all of the the 9 aliens that came from a planet. I'm reading Kidnapped by Gordon Korman. I did not get a science fiction book because I don't like them. I like reading fiction and non fiction. I'm currently on chapter four. The characters in this book is Aiden and his sister Meg. The setting is in a little town, and the problem is that there parents are in prison and that the police is looking for both of them.

So far, the characters are Xander (main), Toria (sister, minor) David (brother, minor) and Xander’s parents(minor). So far, the setting is modern day and in the summer, on the road to their new home. Finally, the problem so far is that Xander and his family are moving and he doesn’t want to leave all of his friends and his old house behind.

The book that I'm reading is "Trash" by Andy Mulligan. This is not a science fiction book, because I started to read this the day before we picked out our books. I think this is a realistic fiction book. This is because the characters are made up, but they are having real-life experiences. Right now, I am on page 51. The main characters so far are Raphael Fernandez, his friend Gardo, and their weird friend named Rat. I definitely think more characters will be added, but I don't think they will be major. The setting is in the city they live in, Behala, and most of the times the dump site there. The problem in the story is that Raphael finds a bag that has very high value, and the cops are on the hunt for it. They are very suspicious about Raphael, so they are always following him. Raphael and his friends don't want to get caught with the bag that they have, otherwise there will be huge problems.

The problem in the book is that a large asteroid was supposed to hit the moon and when it does it gets pushed closer to Earth. Since the tidal waves are controlled by the moon and there was a huge shift in the moon all the tidal waves go crazy. Hawaii, Cap Cod, the Statue of Liberty, Miami, and many more places get completely submerged in water. What will life be like for Miranda and her family?

I am reading the book Crater by Homer Hickam. This book takes place in the future when the moon has mining colonies. The main character is sixteen year old crater trueblood, he loves his job as a miner but one day when he saves a fellow miner his life changes when the owner of the mining company gives crater a dangerous mission. Crater has no choice but to go. I am liking the book so far and i hope it continues.

I think the setting is in the future, United States, Chicago because I read something about the tower they used to call the Sears tower so I inferred that the book took place in Chicago. I think the problem is that the teenage girl has to chose to leave her family or stay.

The book that I am reading is "Bad Luck and Trouble" by Lee Child. This is not a Science Fiction book, because I requested this book before break, and I just got it yesterday. I am on page 20 of my book. The characters in this book so far are Jack Reacher, the main character, Calvin Franz and the pilot of a helicopter. Right now, the setting is in a helicopter above a desert, in the middle of the night. Franz has two broken legs, and when he stands up, he falls out of the open door of the helicopter. In this point of the book, I cannot tell what the problem is in the story.

The book I chose was Z. Rex by Steve Cole. Currently I am on page 43 and the main character so far is a thirteen-year-old boy named Adam Adlar. The setting is a modern day where this huge T-Rex appears out of nowhere, (what I am thinking is that maybe it’s just from a video game that Adam was playing for 5 hours straight one day while eating pizza) and wrecks the town he lives in like a tornado just ripped through it. But this isn’t a normal T-Rex, it’s a T-Rex specifically going after Adam somehow, and Adam needs to find a way so that he can save his life from this dinosaur, so there’s a problem, a risky and dangerous problem that Adam has to go through. I am still reading, and currently it’s starting to get to the main point of the story, so I don’t any more new information, but I will keep reading and find out. :)

The Science Fiction book I chose is called Raider's Ransom by Emily Diamand. I am on page 27. The main character in this book is Lily. She has a pet cat that she takes everywhere with her. Some of the other minor characters are her grandma(who died on page 11), Andy, and the Captain. The book hasn't told yet what relation Lily has with Andy yet. The problem in this book is that the Raiders have come without warning. The Raiders are people who come and kill anyone in the city for money. They make money off of the ransom that they get. This time they have the prime minister's daughter held captive. Will they be able to save her without paying the ransom?

I am reading the mysterious sci-fi book, The Maze Runner by James Dashner. I am on page 25. The main character is Thomas who doesn't have any memories of his childhood, even though he is 16. He just wakes up in the lift, and he is welcomed by people who live in the Glade. The setting is in the Glade. The problem is probably that Thomas doesn't remember anything, but I cannot be sure, because I am not too far in to the book.

I am reading Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. I am currently on page 132. The main character in my book is Ender. He has an older brother, Peter, and an older sister, Valentine. When Ender goes to Battle school, he meets many new friends, and enemies. For example, one of his friends is Alai, and one of his enemies is Bernard. The setting is in outer space-- and it takes place in a battle school where Ender learns many new things about the world and himself. I think the problem in this book is based on physical traits, but also a little bit of emotional. Physically, Ender continuously is bullied, but somehow has to find a way to become a great leader and commander. The fate of mankind rests on his shoulders.

The book I'm reading is The Fox Inheritance by Mary E Pearson. I am on page 19, but so far the book is a little confusing. In my book the characters are Jenna, Locke, Kara and Dr. Gatsbro. The setting of my book is in the future, but it doesn't tell the exact location. I know it is the future because people where keeping the minds of the dead, which we don't do know. With what I have read so far the problem is that Jenna a girl whose mind was taken out, was put into another body and she doesn't know where she and who everyone is. The people that she is supposed to know, she doesn't recognize at all. I like the book a little bit, but I hope once I read a little bit more everything will be more clear.

I found an interesting book that was in a another library so I asked for it. 10 Things I Hate About Me is realistic fiction. I am on page 104. The characters are Jamie (Jamilah), Amy, Liz, Peter and Jamie's dad. The problem is that ever since Jamie's mom died her dad is very strict about her curfews and what is going on in her life. He won't let her go to parties or the mall or anything that includes being social. So right now Jamie is trying to ask her dad if she can get a job so she can earn money. I am currently reading the book The Hunt for the Seventh by Christine Morton-Shaw. The genre is under horror and mystery. I didn’t read my science fiction book because I was in the middle of this book and I didn’t want to start another book while I was reading The Hunt for the Seventh. I am on page 113 in my book. The main characters are James(Jim) and his little sister Sally(Sal). They are two siblings who are bonded close together by a tragic event in losing their mother. Jim is bearing the weight of a promise he made to his mother about taking care of Sally. So when ghosts come knocking on his door, asking him to “Find the Seventh”, he is torn between the sentimental promise and his stubborn, defying little sister. This book takes place in present time. Jim and Sal live in a mansion called Minerva Hall. Their dad has got himself a job as a gardener, and the kids are taking up a life in the comfortable palace they can call home; for now.

I am currently reading Dairy Queen on my kindle, which is not science fiction. However, the science fiction book that I chose was Invisible City. So far, I am 16% done with the book and I am really enjoying it! The characters are DJ and Brain. I would say the setting is at DJ’s farm back then. The problem is that DJ’s gets sick and DJ is left to work at the farm. Day and night, she works and she starts to feel envious of her three brothers. Curtis, who is younger, plays basketball at least 7 times a week. Win and Bill, her older brothers, are away at college. Overall, this a great novel!!!

The characters are Deryn who is dressed up as a man so she could join the British royal air navy and the other character is Alek a Hungarian prince who is on the run from the people that killed his parents. The setting is at two different places because there are two main characters one is Austria-Hungary and the other is Britain. I think the problem at this point is that Deryn has some secrets to hid and still needs to hide the fact that she is a girl because the Air navy wouldn't let girls join it. Also Alek is still on the run from the assassins that killed his parents

I am reading the book "Unwind" by Neal Shusterman and it is about a boy named Connor, and his parents have made the decision to unwind him. They call it that to make it not sound so bad but it is basically killing your child and using their body parts for other purposes. Connor doesn't want to be unwound, so he decides to run away with his best friend Ariana. But after thinking about it, she decided not to go so Connor is all alone. He meets up with a trucker to stay away from the police, and the trucker agrees to keep him safe. I am only on page 20, but this seems like a very good book. I also told my mom about it and she read all 4 books in the series and LOVED it. I am very exited to read this book!

I read "Here Lies Arthur" by: Philip Reeve. At this time I am on page 17, and there are only two characters; the main character is Gwyana and another character is Myrddin. This story takes place in a forested area with a river, in the dead of winter. I am not sure if this is the problem, but her village was bunt and pillaged by riders that mean war upon them.

The characters from the book haven't been explained very much but the characters are Lily Gefelty, Katie Mulligan, and Jasper Dash. They are trapped in a fantasy area where everything watches you or stalks you. It is called the Worn-Torn Realm of Fantasy. The conflict in this book is leading from the first book. They are Lily Gefelty, Jasper Dash, and Katie Mulligan. The setting is in a town that goes by the name of Pelt. Pelt is a small town that no one really knows of. The only big thing that Pelt has is a museum and a world class staring contest team. Yes a staring contest team and worst of all Jasper is the teams star player. So far I have not found out the problem in the story but I think that it might have to do with the fact that Jasper is about to go in a match against the schools rivals in a staring contest.

I am reading the science fiction book, The Adoration of Jenna Fox, and I am on page 15. So far, the characters in this book are Jenna Fox, her Mom, her Dad, and Lily. This book is set in the future; so far, the setting is just in her house. The problem of this story is since Jenna had an accident, she was in a comma for a long time. The comma has caused her to lose some of her memory. So, the problem is that she is having a hard time remembering who she is, and who everyone else is; she has to relearn everything.

I am currently reading a book called Evil Genius by Catherine Jinks. The characters are Cadel, his mom and dad, Thaddeus Roth and Wilfreda his assistant. The setting is mostly in Thaddeus's office and the lobby (downstairs). I'm on page 28 and so far the book is good. Cadel is 7 and has genius IQ and I think the problem of this story is that Cadel's parents think that his IQ is a problem and they are trying to figure out what's wrong with but there might not be anything wrong.

I think the problem is that Tobias’s mom, Evelyn has taken over the factions and made everybody factionless after the Erudite killed almost all of the Abnegation. Tris,Tobias, and the others go outside the fence into the real world and discover what the world was really like before the factions, and why the factions came to be. The book I am reading is T MINUS the race to the moon. The page I am on is page 18. The character in my book are C.C. a rocket scientist. The setting is in NASA Langley Virginia-1957. The problem in the book is that NASA is trying to beat Russia to moon and to see who gets to the moon first.
I am currently trying to read Peak by Roland Smith which is not science fiction. However, I have tried reading it in the past but, I just let it go. Now I am on a mission to read through the whole book and not ignore it or dis it. I do enjoy this book so far. I am on page 9. The Characters are peak and his reading teacher Vincent. The setting is a building and a road. Peak just got arrested and is being taken to jail for climbing 500 feet on a skyscraper.

The sci-fi book I am reading right now is "The 5th Wave" by Rick Yancey. Right now, I am on page 193, and so far, the book has been incredibly riveting. The characters I have encountered so far are: Cassie Sullivan, Sammy Sullivan (younger brother), Evan Walker, and Ben Parish. Their viewpoints take up chapters, but Rick doesn't come out and directly tells us who. He brilliantly interprets their thoughts, images, and names into the text. So far, he's on my "Top Fifteen Author's List". The setting is America in the future. I think it may be taking place in recent times. The plot is just an alternative from besides what we are living in now. Except the alternative isn't good. Earth has been invaded from the Others, aliens from outer space. The Others have caused the incredible population of 6.7 billion, to a measly 2,000 or less. Cassie doesn't know if there are less, or more out there. All she knows that is that they have caused things called Waves. Each wave brings death and terror to the Earth: execution from electricity, a tidal wave that had taken out more than half of the Earth's population, and a plague called the Red Death, 4th Horseman, etc. Cassie has survived them all, but only with sacrifricing her brother, and father. Her mother left with the 4th Horseman. But she saw her father gunned down and her little brother taken away by the alien soldiers. Or so she thought. Now, Cassie and Evan are determined to find Sammy and survive the invasion of the Others... But as Cassie says, how can she trust someone who has survived all 4 Waves? And how can her supposed-to-be-dead crush threaten her own life?

Life as We Knew It
In Life As We Knew It, the main character (A girl, hasn't introduced her name yet) Is 16 years old. The story takes place in school and at home so far. It starts with her dad announcing that his new wife, Liza, is pregnant. Liza really annoys the girl, she can turn you down and anger you in a second, and then do something nice to not upset you. The main character goes through friend problems, one friend dying and the two others turning on each other, making the old times disappear. With all the discombobulation of her parents, Liza, thee baby, being a godmother, friends fighting... She's stuck between, not knowing what to do or what will happen. I am on page 21. I don't really know what the problem is yet.

Although in the prologue a kid named Mattias was mentioned. The setting is pretty normal, they live in a town, in a house and peter goes to school. But it is taken place in the future. But most everything, so far, seems the same. At this point in my reading of this book I do not know the problem of the story.

The setting is in the time 1,000 years in the future, where not a lot of people read books. People who reads books in that time would be rarely. How I imagine is is like where Spaz is is some kind of dark place. With dark buildings, but when you go to the city, there are lights, technology, and a lot of people in styles. But in some places it would be dark and gloomy. I think the problem at this point is that Spaz would need a mission is to steal some things to have life better. But, I’m not sure yet. It’s still beginning with the character talking.

The Sci Fi book I chose is Divergrent. by Allie Condie. I am currently on page 28 chapter five. (minor) Caleb,Marcus ,Mom, and Dad (Major) Beatrice Prior. The setting is in the future. The problem is that Beatrice is divergent and she has to go to the choosing ceremony and has to pick one she wants to be. She never felt like she fit in to the abnegation factors. What will she choose?

I chose the book Infinity Ring: Divide and Conquer. I am on page 9. The characters are Sera and Dak and the settings is in the far future. I am pretty sure the problem is that history is "broken" and Dak and Sera have a time machine to fix it. In the meantime, Dak and Sera face the delaying forces of the SQ.

I have finished the book Glitch by Heather Anastasiu. I have currently finished the book and the main character is Zoel also known as Zoe. This takes place underground underneath the Surface after D-Day in the future. The problem was that everyone had a V-chip implanted in their brain and is controlled by the Link. Everyone except the governors and the people that live on the Surface. Zoe must save everyone she loves without losing anyone... just like her brother.

The book I chose was The Last Book In The Universe by Rodman Philbrick. I am on page 17.So far, the characters are Spaz, Ryter, and Billy Bizmo. The problem I've identified so far is that because everybody is using probing instead of reading, there are no more books. If that's not bad enough, Spaz can't probe because he might get a brain seizure and is forced to join a gang and live a life where stealing is a necessity.

ReplyDeleteThe Sci Fi short stories book that I have chosen is Strangers and Beggars I am on page twenty five. There is only one main character in this story and her name is Miss.Hathaway. The setting of the story is in a public high school. The problem of this story is that in Miss.Hathaway’s classroom there is a gigantic spider that keeps getting bigger and bigger! But not only is the spider getting bigger but its web is too! The spider has the web taking up a large amount of the classroom and no one is dealing with this issue.

The sci-fi book that I chose was The People of Sparks by Jeanne Duprau and am currently on page 34. The main character's are Lina, Doon, Poppy, Mrs. Murdo, and the town's leaders of Sparks. The setting is above the ground, over the city of Ember and in the town of Sparks. The time period is in the past. The problem at this point is that the people of Ember need shelter because their abandoned city was lost. They are being distributed among the people of Sparks where they will care for them.

The book I read was titled "The Wish List" by Eoin Colfer I don't know how to say his name but, he created a good story so far. I am about 20 pages in and I had to put it down so I don't finish it! I like this book so much that I try to read little bits at a time so I can keep reading. Its that good. The Characters that are evil are: Beltch, Raptor(the dog), Beelzebub, THE DEVIL, and Meg. (who shouldn't be in there) That is all I really know right now All of the characters I know are in the underworld being imprisoned. THIS BOOK IS AWESOME! I recommend this book to any one who love action and adventure.

I am reading the book Claim for fame By: Margaret peterson. I am on page 19. The character is the narrator and so far there is no more characters that I know of. And the setting is placed in the future at the narrators house. The problem is that the main character has the fear of being kidnapped and she won't do anything for example she isn't doing her homework and she is getting frustrated because nobody knows what she is going threw. And she believes that nobody will ever now.

What Sci Fi book did you choose? What page are you on? Who are the characters? What is the setting? Do you know the problem at this point?
I picked the book "The Boy Who Reversed Himself" by William Sleator. I am on page 29 so far. The characters that are in my book so far are Omar, Pete, and Laura. I have not found out the setting yet, it does not say. The problem at this point is that Laura is curious of what Omar is creating.

I chose the book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. I am on page 5 and the main character is Arthur Dent and the other character is Ford Perfect,his friend. Arthur Dent was an earthing that was in a bathrobe and was taken from Earth by Ford Perfect before Earth was destroyed by a hyper-space bypass. The setting is in the future and the new popular thing on planet earth is the digital watch and the planet Earth Arthur lived on was all sad and the people there were angry, stressed,tired, and most of all sad. Well, too bad for them and I mean why live if your not happy at all, you are sad everyday of your life. I feel that the problem and the confusion is why was Earth destroyed and why were those people sad? (If it matters anymore.)

ReplyDeleteI am not reading a science fiction book because, I can not check one out. I can't do this because I have a over due book. Instead of reading a science fiction book I am reading a book called Smile by Raina Telgmeirer. The main character is Raina and in this book Raina is a young teenager. This book takes place around Rainas town about current time. I am on page 29 and I have already found the problem! Raina has damaged her two front teeth, making her look like a vampire. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a little laugh and drama.

I didn't pick a scifi book because I wasn't interested in any of them and I wanted to read Red Kayak because I have started that book but never finished it. I am currently on page 40. So far the main characters are Brady, JT, Digger and Brady dad. The problem in the book is not yet specified. I recommend this book to people who enjoy to everyone but mostly kids because I can relate to it very well. Overall, I really enjoy this book so far and I want to keep reading it.

The science fiction book I chose was a book called Leviathan. It is based in WWI but the war is between the Clankers and the the Darwinists. This book is different because it is not a traditional WWI book, it is futuristic and has monsters. The Clankers fight with big machines that walk around and have big cannons and machine guns. The Darwinists have these big raging monsters. The main character is named Alek and he is part of a Clanker royal family. But Alek is technically not royal because his parents are separated. I am on page 25 and Alek is learning how to ride a Walker (a big machine that walks) in the middle of the night. I like the book so far and I look foward to reading farther into it.
You are making me want to read this book even more! I have this one on my Someday List :)

The book I am reading is The Enchantress by Michael Scott. It is science fiction because of time traveling, and other worlds. It is part of one of my favorite series “The Immortal Nicholas Flamel”. I am on chapter 34. There are many characters in the book, it is always switching from characters. There are immortal humans, and gods.The setting also changes along with the characters, but some are in different worlds, different times, and most are making their way to San Francisco in modern times.A battle already has started, and two of the main characters in the series have one day left to die; but until then they will fight with allies to save the city. The problem is that some evil immortals and gods have caused chaos in San Francisco, and are attempting to unleash a ton of monsters contained in Alcatraz on the city.

I chose the book Divergent by Veronica Roth as my Science Fiction book. The page that I am currently on is 16. The main character(s) so far in this book are Beatrice Prior who is also the narrator. The other character(s) (doesn’t seem to important right now) in this book are Beatrice’s brother Caleb who goes to the same school and is in the same year, Beatrice’s parents, and Tori who is the person testing Beatrice (Aptitude Test). This book is set in the future in the City of Chicago. The problem right now seems that Beatrice is really worried to take the Aptitude Test, but I haven't read a lot so this seems like the problem for the pages that I’ve read so far.
i am reading a book called catching fire and its about this girl called katniss and this guy called peeta i can tell that this book is sci-fi because the have like space ships and electrical trains and aircraft's and every year they have this thing called the hunger games which is when they pick a two people from each district to fight each other in the hunger games and only one person can win but last year katniss and peeta won because there was both going to eat poison berries and kill there self so no one can win

The sci-fi book I am reading is called Leviathan. One thing that makes this book sci-fi is that in the beginning of the book, there was machine called a Stormwalker. A Stormwalker is a giant machine that you get into like tank, but it has legs, machine guns, and a big cannon. This makes my book sci-fi because a Stormwalker isn’t a real machine, and it is very futuristic.

I choose the book Virals by Kathy Reichs. I am on page 28, so far the only characters I have read about is the main character Tory and her friend Hi. The live on a remote island because they're parents are scientists on a top secret research facility on the island. So far the problem is that Tory's mother just died and she has to live with her father she has never met, and the have a lot of warming up to do.
